Welcome to Gust Independent School

A Child Centred Community of Growth

We are an Independent Special School for children aged 6–17 with a variety of additional needs that may otherwise not be met within a mainstream setting. We provide both Primary and Secondary education in a warm and welcoming environment where all learners are supported to re-engage with education and strive to reach their full potential.

At GUST, we provide a broad and balanced curriculum that is embedded consistently throughout the school and tailored to the individual needs of each of our learners. Our highly skilled staff work together with our learners to enable everyone to experience success, building from the foundations of our youngest Primary pupils to our Year 12 pupils who are preparing for adulthood.

We place great emphasis on the development of exceptional behaviour and attitude, including a consistently high level of respect for others and a commitment to their education. All of our staff and learners live the ‘Who D.A.R.E.S Wins’ values in order to achieve success in all aspects of school life.
