At GUST Independent School we have created a broad and ambitious curriculum with both academic and vocational pathways to enable us to meet the wide range of needs of our learners.

 

Our curriculum entails the core subjects of English, Maths and Science; as well as Physical Education, PSHE, RSE, Art, History, Geography, Religious Education, ICT and Modern Foreign Languages (Primary/Nurture unit), as set out in the National Curriculum.

 

We offer a wide range of qualifications to enable all of our learners to reach their full potential. When they are ready our learners will have the opportunity to achieve a Functional Skills qualification in Maths, English and ICT as well as GCSE qualifications in both English and Maths. We also offer ASDAN qualifications in Science, History and Geography. In addition to this, students who enjoy engaging in our vocational subjects have the opportunity to achieve a recognised qualification in Construction Studies, Motor Vehicle Studies and Hair & Beauty Studies.

 

We like to ensure that all of our learners have access to extra-curricular activities throughout the year to enable them to broaden their life experiences - and have fun - by taking part in endeavours such as:
