Our Curriculum

Our curriculum provides pupils regular opportunities to develop their self-awareness and self-control, encouraging pupils to develop accountability for their actions. We pride ourselves on creating a school environment in which commonalities are identified and celebrated, difference is valued and nurtured, and bullying, harassment and violence are never tolerated.

Our curriculum extends beyond academic and vocational opportunities as we strive to provide even our most disadvantaged pupils with rich experiences and extra-curricular activities that support and enhance the learning taking place in our classrooms. We aim to prepare our pupils for life in modern Britain by providing pupils with meaningful opportunities to interact with society, understanding how to be responsible, respectful, active citizens who contribute positively.

Good teaching and the consistent application of strategies to improve behaviour help pupils to find their feet and re-engage with learning.
