A Haiku at Cragside
For literacy this week we all became poets and have been working hard on creating our own Haiku poems. A Haiku is a form of poetry that originated in Japan. It is only 3 lines long and is written in a 5-7-5 syllable pattern about nature. We took a trip to Cragside to find some inspiration for our poems. After exploring the woods (and building more dens) we challenged ourselves in the adventure playpark. Then we found the perfect spot to set to work on our poetry. We sat down by the lake and got ourselves inspired to create the most amazing poems. Watch this space for our published works!
