October in the High School

We have had an exciting month. We completed our topic on 'Towns' with a trip to Morpeth visiting Emily Davison, a pioneer for women's rights. We had an educational visit to Cragside to see the home of another North East Pioneer Lord Armstrong and learn about the first home to use hydro-electric power. We even managed to get lost in the labyrinth for a while. We have also been out and about on the bikes, adding many more miles to our 1000 mile challenge to get us all more fit and healthy. Everybody particularly enjoyed cycling through the pedestrian tunnel under the Tyne and travelling back by ferry! What a great month.
