Trees to help the planet

As part of our topic 'Countryside Classroom' we have spent several weeks looking into the impact of global warming in our local environment. As a group we wanted to do something pro-active to help the climate emergency Northumberland is facing. We applied to Northumberland County Council for some free trees to plant in our forest school area and we were lucky to receive a tree for every child. Last week we took the first of our saplings into the forest and planted them. It is our hope that our trees grow fast and strong to help keep the air clean for future generations.
