Today we had a fantastic day exploring the magnificent Bamburgh Castle. Perched high on the Northumberland coastline, the castle was an amazing place to visit, and we couldn't have asked for better weather to enjoy the stunning views.
During our visit, we learned all about the castle's fascinating history and discovered what life was like many hundreds of years ago. We explored the impressive rooms, saw fascinating artefacts, and found out about the kings, queens and important people who once lived there.
As we walked around the castle, we imagined what it would have been like to defend such a huge fortress. We learned about its role in protecting the kingdom and how it has changed over the centuries.
One of our favourite parts of the day was climbing the castle walls and looking out across the beautiful Northumberland coastline. The breathtaking views of the beach, the sea and the surrounding countryside made it easy to see why Bamburgh Castle is such a special place.
The visit brought our history learning to life and gave us the opportunity to ask lots of interesting questions. We all enjoyed discovering new facts, exploring the castle grounds and spending time together in such a historic setting.
It was a wonderful day filled with learning, adventure and fun. We made lots of happy memories and came away with a greater understanding of our local history. Thank you to everyone at Bamburgh Castle for making our visit so enjoyable!
