At GUST Secondary, we work with students to support them throughout their education in their core Maths and English subjects; our aim is to help all students achieve a GCSE qualification or equivalent, alongside vocational Motor Vehicle, Construction, and Hair & Beauty. Students have the opportunity to sit Functional Skills exams termly working up from Entry Level 3 to Level 1 and Level 2.
In addition to this, students are encouraged to work through a range of unit disciplines in Construction, Motor Vehicle and Hair & Beauty to achieve qualifications accredited by City & Guilds and ABC. Starting September 2022, we will be offering ASDAN qualifications in Science, History and Geography. Students will have access to PSHE, Art, Religious Education and Physical Education following our theme of learning. We also deliver RSHE as part of our PSHE lessons in keeping with national guidance.
