Today the Nurture students got to take part in an amazing inter school competition - The Panathlon New Age Kurling (North) event. 23 teams took part in the event from schools all over the region. We had two teams competing - GUST A and GUST B. We were split into pools and took part in 5 games of curling. GUST A came second in their pool winning 3 out of the 5 games, a huge achievement considering no-one had ever played curling before. They were awarded with a runners up medal. GUST B won all 5 of their pool games scoring a place in the semi-final. It was a close match but they were pipped to the post for a Gold or Silver medal. They showed amazing resilience and confidence by picking themselves up for their Bronze medal match which they won on the last stone thrown. It was an absolutely fantastic day that will be remembered by all of us for a long time. We are all so proud of all of our students who lived the GUST values of Determination, Ambition, Respect, Empathy and Self-Control today, going above and beyond. Well done everyone!!!!!
